Disney upcoming Movies 2023 Part 1

Calling all Disney Fans, the new movie release list for next year is here! I have already taken a look at the list and I myself and somewhat disappointed. So, let’s just dive into this list,

  1. The Little Mermaid Release Date: Friday, May 26, 2023

My all-time favorite the little Mermaid A Rob Marshall’s live-action reimagining of the studio’s Oscar®-winning animated musical classic Halle Bailey, Jacob Tremblay, Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, Jonah Hauer-King, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Awkwafina, Jessica Alexander, Emily Coates, Rob Marshall. The film stars singer and actress Halle Bailey (“grown-ish”) as Ariel; Tony Award® winner Daveed Diggs (“Hamilton,” “Snowpiercer”) as the voice of Sebastian; Jacob Tremblay (“Luca,” “Room”) as the voice of Flounder; Awkwafina (“Raya and the Last Dragon”) as the voice of Scuttle; Jonah Hauer-King (“A Dog’s Way Home”) as Prince Eric; Art Malik (“Homeland”) as Sir Grimsby; Noma Dumezweni (“Mary Poppins Returns”) as Queen Selina; with Oscar® winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Being the Ricardos”) as King Triton; and two-time Academy Award® nominee Melissa McCarthy (“Can You Ever Forgive Me?” “Bridesmaids”) as Ursula. The film will incorporate original songs from the 1989 animated classic, as well as new tunes from original composer Alan Menken and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Set to shoot on the Italian island of Sardiniac.

My personal outlook of this new upcoming movie is that Disney has once again portrayed us with one version of what the little mermaid looked like with the cartoon and now, we are seeing another version that’s the con about this movie the pros are it’s nice to see more movies are coming out with other cultures because it brings growth in the culture but i don’t think it should be applied to all movies and cartoons. just my opinion now am i excited to watch this when it comes out yes but not in the movie theaters, I’ll wait for it to come out on another viewing platform.
